The Felt Seiler – Free Edition

The Felt Seiler Free Edition is a felted Seiler piano recorded at Sofia Session Studio B. Several close microphones were blended into one signal. Beside the piano sit three sound design layers named Warmth, Ache and Loneliness, and each can be reversed, muted or soloed. There are also filter, EQ, compression, delay and convolution reverb controls. The tone is soft and close, with the extra layers adding a hazy glow. It suits quiet drama, grief and slow reflective cues. The catch is that this edition samples only every second note, with one round robin and no sustain layer. Fuller sampling is kept for the paid Pro version.
