A free felt piano from Christian Henson (Pianobook), played in Decent Sampler.
Summer Felt is a free Pianobook pack from Christian Henson. It uses his hand-made German Schimmel upright, with felt added to soften the sound. It is the second part of a seasonal series and follows his Summer Piano pack. The felt gives a muted, rounded tone. Henson notes that this compact piano records well for television and film. It suits close, gentle cues and reflective scenes. Pianobook gives little detail about the microphones or the number of dynamic layers, and the pack has very few user reviews so far. A free Pianobook account is needed to download it.
Worth knowing: You need a free Pianobook account to download it. The Kontakt version may not run in the free Kontakt Player, so use the Decent Sampler version.
