A free cinematic piano from Heavyocity, played in Kontakt Player.
FOUNDATIONS Piano pairs a softly played grand with a processed synthetic texture layer. Heavyocity does not name the piano, though one reviewer believes it is a Kawai. A two-channel mixer balances piano and texture, and there is an arpeggiator, a rhythmic gate, an envelope and effects for punch, delay and reverb. Ten presets are included. The result is a hybrid sound aimed at film, TV and game scoring, from sparse melodies to pulsing patterns. It needs Kontakt Player 6.6.1 or later. The catch is that the sampling focuses on soft playing, so it is less suited to loud, forceful parts.
Worth knowing: Needs Kontakt Player 6.6.1 or later. It is a $0 checkout on Heavyocity's store.
